Victorian Cliff Lift

Saltburn's Victorian Cliff Lift Opened on 28th June 1884, Saltburn's Victorian Cliff Lift is the oldest remaining water balanced cliff lift in Britain. The height of the lift is 36 metres and the length of the track is 63 metres resulting in a gradient of about 0.7. It links the pier with the rest of the town.

Easter-Whit (daily) 10am-5pm. Closed for lunch 1pm-1.30pm
Whit-10 Sept (daily) 10am-7pm. Closed for lunch 1pm-2pm
10-30 Sept (daily) 10am-5pm. Closed for lunch 1pm-1.30pm
1-28 Oct (weekends) 10am-5pm. Closed for lunch 1pm-1.30pm
